Martijn ten Bhömer, PhD. is specialized in the design, research and development of intelligent products, and is co-founder and CTO at Femooi. He was awarded a grant from the highly competitive National Natural Science Foundation of China (International Young Scientist) and was awarded the title of Key Educator in Science and Education by the Suzhou Municipal Education Bureau.
Previously Dr. ten Bhömer was engaged in research and development work in multinational companies such as Microsoft Research UK, Deutsche Telekom in Germany, OMsignal in Canada and Bambi Medical in the Netherlands, and has rich experience in the industry. Design research projects of Dr. ten Bhömer have been awarded in the Creative Business Cup, the Social Design Award, Index Award and the New Material Award. His work has been exhibited at national and international exhibitions, museums and conferences, such as South by Southwest in Austin, the Museum of Design in Zürich, the Tangible, Embedded and Embodied Interaction conference in Stanford, and multiple Design Weeks in Eindhoven and Beijing.
