Eindhoven,

TU/e Industrial Design Wearables Senses students return to Baltan to publicly share their e-textiles project progress. Researchers from TU/e ID will also be invited to review and give advice (constructive comments for improvement) on the projects. This would also be a good time to welcome collaborators, because the students may need advice, investors, a particular expertise, etc.

Wearable Senses Open Labs #2 will begin with eight or so students presenting the progress made on their design research project during the last seven weeks. The audience is then invited for peer review, feedback, and to work with the students ‘hands-on’ to further develop their projects. The students will bring whatever they think will be needed: project components, sewing machine, knitting machine, basic tools, etc. The atmosphere will be similar to a hack day. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

Baltan Open lab is a new initiative designed to rapidly move an idea through innovative concept to product co-creation. The Open Lab invites artists, designers, researchers and professionals to share their ideas. From 20:00 through 21:00 hrs anyone interested in e-textiles is welcome to see the results of this co-creation lab. The results of these open labs are presented at Baltan Labs from 28 January untill 25 Febraury 2014.
